My article for the Mises Institute on international economic governance

The Mises Institute is an organisation dedicated to teaching and research in economics and political philosophy. It was founded in 1982 in memory of the Austrian economist Ludwig von Mises.

Last week, I had the honour of publishing an article on the website of this institute. In this article, I analyse Ludwig von Mises’ comments on international economic governance. These comments are notably found in his book Omnipotent Government, published in 1944.

It is interesting to see how pertinent Mises’ observations were. They touch upon both the form of economic governance foreseen by States in the 1940s and the consequences of the said form of governance.
